When should I think about ordering my stationery?

We know how stressful planning a wedding can be, so we’d recommend ordering your stationery as early as you can. Certain times of year are busier for wedding stationers and if you’re looking for stationery for a summer wedding, we’d recommend placing your order as early as possible! For international orders we’d recommend adding a couple of weeks onto the below timescales where possible for delivery.

Each couple is unique and you may want to send out your invitations to a completely different time scale, but we've outlined the general etiquette of when to send out your save the dates and invitations.

  • Save the Dates

    ORDER: Approximately 4-6 weeks before you’d like to send them out.

    SEND: Usually sent to guests around 10-12 months before the wedding date, giving guests plenty of time to book off and save your date!

  • Invitations

    ORDER: Approx. 6-8 weeks before you’d like to send them out, making sure to give yourself plenty of time to receive RSVPs and collect any missing responses!

    SEND: Generally sent 6-8 months prior to your wedding date, with approximately 2 months for guests to RSVP. Your RSVP date may differ based on your supplier needs, so please use these as a rough guide only.

  • On the Day

    ORDER: Ideally 2 months before your wedding, but no later than 1 month prior to the day.

    We appreciate you may not have finalised guest RSVPs by this point and would recommend ordering a few extra blanks so you can add or change items in an emergency.

  • Favours

    ORDER: Approximately 6-8 weeks before the wedding, our favours are personalised for each couple and are carefully assembled by our small and dedicated team to give your guests an extra special eco-friendly gift they can cherish for years.

  • Thank You Cards

    ORDER: Usually around 3-4 weeks before you’d like to send them out.

    SEND: These are usually sent within 3 months after your big day so the celebrations are still fresh in your guests’ minds.

  • Other Stationery

Our production lead time is 7-12 business days, from proof approval or artwork receipt.

We can work to shorter design and production timelines, please get in touch if you need something more urgently. All timelines will rely on timely printing approval from our couples.
